Partially Sponsored Residency for Site-Specific Art and Ghetto-Related Research

Located in the heart of the world’s first Jewish Ghetto, we explicitly encourage applications from artists, writers, and researchers of all disciplines who address the marginalization and discrimination of vulnerable communities.

We welcome applicants who wish to pursue artistic and research-based projects that engage with a wide range of perspectives on Jewish heritage and identity, and address the challenges that Jewish people and Israelis of all backgrounds are facing today.

Artists are invited to pursue site-specific, exploratory processes, as well as ghetto-related research, with optional exhibition space available. The residency is open to Jewish and non-Jewish artists, as well as researchers working across disciplines.

We also support projects examining the opportunities and risks of AI-generated art in this context.

The Skyline Studio apartment is located in the heart of the picturesque, historic Jewish Ghetto of Venice. The residency offers an inspiring environment for artists, writers, and researchers across a range of disciplines, with an optional exhibition space just below.

The studio and exhibition space are on the street level, facing the piazza of the old Ghetto. They offer a unique opportunity to connect with local communities, network with international artists, engage with curators and institutions in the arts and culture sector, and further develop artistic practice and professional visibility.

Application Process: There is no formal application form or fixed deadline. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
